The Tennessee Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW-TN) represents 1,800 professional social workers and social work students across the state. The association promotes, develops and protects the practice of social work and social workers. Alzheimer’s Tennessee, Inc. was founded in 1983 by a small group of East Tennessee families. Today the 501c3 non-profit organization is still governed by a local Board of Directors and advocates for top research initiatives and provides services to the more than 22,000 individuals and families facing Alzheimer’s disease and dementia in East Tennessee and the Cumberlands. With offices in Knoxville and Cookeville, Alzheimer’s Tennessee, Inc. serves Knox and 25 other counties from Putnam in the west to Hancock in the northeast part of the state.

TN Alliance for Children and Families (TN Alliance) is a consortium of private service providers from across the State of Tennessee, whose mission is "To serve as a voice for our members in enhancing the well-being of children, families and communities in Tennessee." For over 55 years, member agencies have provided family support, counseling, foster care, adoption, residential treatment and community prevention & intervention services for children and families each year. TN Alliance agencies provide services for at least 7,000 abused, neglected, delinquent and troubled children and youth in the custody of or at risk of entering custody of the State of Tennessee.
